Frequently Asked Questions

Learn how our height comparison engine and proportional scaling algorithm work.

How accurate is the height comparison?
Our tool calculates height comparisons using strict mathematical geometry. Every person’s height is internally stored as an exact centimeter value. Visual models share a single unified coordinate space (viewBox 0 0 100 400) and scale proportionately using a dynamic linear factor (scale = maxVisualHeight / chartMaxCm). This guarantees that a 200 cm model is visually exactly 2× the height of a 100 cm model, and all models stand on the exact same 0 cm baseline floor.
Can I compare multiple people at once?
Yes! You can compare from 2 up to 20+ people simultaneously. The chart dynamically accommodates additional models by adjusting spacing and enabling smooth horizontal scrolling on smaller screens so the visual clarity of each silhouette is preserved.
Can I compare male and female heights?
Yes, each participant can be designated as either Male or Female. Each gender features a distinct, anatomically proportioned silhouette with realistic shoulders, torso, arms, legs, and posture, while maintaining identical baseline alignment and height scale.
Can I enter height in feet and inches?
Yes. You can switch between Imperial (ft/in) and Metric (cm) anytime. When entering feet and inches (e.g., 5 ft 10 in), our engine converts it using the exact international yard and pound standard (1 inch = 2.54 cm, 1 foot = 30.48 cm).
Can I enter height in centimeters?
Yes, you can input height in centimeters directly (between 30 cm and 250 cm). You can also switch between imperial and metric units at any time without losing any entered data.
Can I share my height comparison?
Yes. Clicking "Share" encodes your custom comparison into a URL that can be copied directly to your clipboard. Anyone who visits your link will view the exact same comparison without needing an account or database lookup.
How is the visual height calculated?
The chart determines the tallest participant and establishes a rounded vertical ruler limit (e.g. 180, 200, 220, or 240 cm). A single pixel scale factor (scale = visualHeight / rulerMax) is then applied to all participants equally. Feet are anchored precisely to the zero floor line, ensuring flawless visual ratios.
